HAUX
– STREAM HAUX’S ADDICITVE NEW SINGLE ‘TOUCH‘
– UK TOUR DATES IN MAY, INCLUDING THE GREAT ESCAPE
Settled in the space between dreamy folk and electronic melancholy – Haux is the smoky-eyed silhouette of Woodson Black. Growing up in the Berkshires, the photographer-turned-musician found his voice while wandering the quiet woods and rural landscapes. He narrated life through film photographs, developing a pastoral aesthetic that would go on to inspire Haux.
Haux has now shared a new single ‘Touch’, a dream-folk number drenched in emotive vocals and lyrics. ‘Touch’ engenders a sense of longing with its hauntingly poetic lyrics, “caught in the cold of when we met, with the heaviest hearts we were a silhouette”. The minimalist production on the song serves to catapult the raw and misty vocals, creating the feeling of a stripped down track that simultaneously feels very cinematic.

Speaking about ‘Touch’, Woodson shared: “I’ve always been drawn to the past. There’s something about it that’s both set in stone yet still awake. Touch brings the past into the present. It’s binds the details of someone you seldom remember with the nights that you always forget.”
Be sure to catch Haux in the UK in May as he plays The Lexington in London and Sound Control in Manchester, and makes his debut at The Great Escape. Full listings as follows (UK dates in bold).
