GADGET SHOW LIVE’S TOP 20 GADGETS FOR 2012 – SMART AND HOME GADGETS Smartphones and smart TVs revolutionising our lives which made the list include the new Organic LED (OLED) 55 inch TV from LG which launched at this year’s CES to widespread acclaim, promising the richest and crispest of images never before seen on a flat-screen TV (launching in UK later this year). This futuristic wristwatch works like a touch screen smartphone by connecting to an Android smartphone to read essential information such as texts and tweets, it also acts as a media player to stream music. TOP SIGHT AND SOUND GADGETS Photography based entries include the highly anticipated Canon EOS 5D with a staggering 22.3 million pixels. The smart camera features 16 megapixels and 3X optical zoom, making image sharing ultra portable and super fast. Not forgetting the latest 3D camcorder from Sony – the HDRTD20VE – which also makes the top 20. Top audio gadgets at the show include the Bowers & Wilkins Mini Theatre MT-60 (appearing on Superfi’s stand) the flagship Mini Theatre system bringing the very best cinema sound straight into the living room. The other top audio kit goes to the 50 Cent headphones brought to the show by Kondor. One of the best headphones sets on the market, designed by the rapper personally, the headphones incorporate wireless technology with the best military grade metal and the same leather used in Bentley’s. TOP TRANSPORT DEVICES AND OUTDOOR GADGETS Ozo’s E-Bikeboard makes the top gadget list and will be part of the huge variety of personal transportation tech at this year’s show. The bike enables the rider to travel up to 35 miles on a single charge and travel up to 22 miles an hour. For visitors who like the outdoors, there’s also the latest in inflatable tents from Vango AirBeam®, a revolution in camping technology promising simple to set up tents. TOP TABLETS AND ULTRABOOKS Tablets remain the must have top desirable kit in 2012 and the show’s top tablets include the new Apple iPad which is bigger, faster and has a better (‘retina’) display, and will be available in the UK from 16 March. Other tablets in the top 20 include the Nvidia Tegra 3 powered Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, one of the slimmest and best Android tablets available.
