Following another outstanding year for British comedy, the Loaded LAFTAS 2012 sponsored by Yazoo

at the exclusive Cuckoo Club in London’s West End on 8th February, this year’s ceremony was one of the best,
with stars such as Alan Carr, Rob Brydon, Jimmy Carr and Jack Whitehall in attendance.

This year Jon Richardson fought off stiff competition from Al Murray, Jimmy Carr and Leigh Francis to win
the Funniest Man award and Alan Carr was crowned Best Stand-Up, adding another LAFTA to the cabinet no
doubt.

Top of the bill in the Funniest Woman category was Andi Osho, who received the award after a stellar year in
the spotlight. Loaded readers were also out in full force to lend their support to the repeatedly lauded Vic &
Bob, who won Best Double Act for the 4th year running.

Welcoming another name to the list of Loaded Legend greats, Rob Brydon was recognised for his outstanding
contribution to the industry, and joins the ranks of previous winners Jimmy Carr, Frank Skinner and Harry
Enfield.

Two of this year’s runaway TV successes were also honoured, with Leigh Francis’s unstoppable comedy vehicle
Celebrity Juice winning Best Panel Show, and the effortlessly cool Fresh Meat leading the way to a second
series, with a nod in the Funniest TV Show category.

Loaded LAFTAS veteran Jimmy Carr impressively walked away with another award this year for Funniest DVD,
but narrowly missed out on becoming top of the pun slingers as Tim Vine scooped the Best Joke award.

Well known for its laidback atmosphere this year’s awards was no different as nominees enjoyed flowing
wine and a menu selection of Beef Carpaccio, Charred King Crab and Salt Baked Celeriac to start; Wagyu Beef
Burgers, Seabass and Mushroom Risotto for main course; and Chocolate Ganache, Spiced Pear Tatin and a
selection of sorbets for dessert.
